Michael Dye completed his undergraduate studies at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, North Carolina in August of 1998. While attending Gardner-Webb University, Mr. Dye was a member of the wrestling and cross-country teams.
Mr. Dye's legal studies began in 2000 at NSU where he was a member of the Law Journal. During law school, Mr. Dye held several law related jobs including a non-attorney position working with the Miami-Dade County Public Defender's Office researching juveniles transferred to the adult court system. Additionally, Mr. Dye was a law clerk for a prominent South Florida criminal defense attorney. Mr. Dye graduated from law school in May, 2003.
Upon graduation from law school, Mr. Dye returned to his primary field and was employed with the nation's largest plaintiff's securities litigation law firm. His tenure as a securities attorney has proved beneficial for the firms clients in Bankruptcy proceedings due to Mr. Dye's knowslege of securitized trust issues. Mr. Dye opened his own firm, Michael A. Dye, P.A., in December of 2004. Mr. Dye began practicing Bankruptcy Law in 2004.
Mr. Dye is licensed in four jurisdictions and a member of several professional associations. Mr. Dye is a member of the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, The National College for DUI Defense, the North Carolina Bar Association, and the Criminal Law Section of the Florida Bar.
Mr. Dye has extensive trial experience in both civil and criminal matters. Mr. Dye has tried in excess of 50 cases to verdict in both civil and criminal matters. Mr. Dye has a track record of success in both jury trials and bench trials.
In April of 2006, Mr. Dye was admitted to the North Carolina State Bar. Mr. Dye actively practices Consumer Bankruptcy Law in addition to serious criminal defense matters. Mr. Dye has represented consumer debtors in "run of the mill" bankruptcy proceedings as well as adversary proceedings to determine the extent of a liens in Bankruptcy Proceedings, clarification of the date of the Bankruptcy Discharge, and numerous violations of the automatic stay provided in bankruptcy proceedings.

Jane Weatherly received her Juris Doctorate from The George Washington University Law School in 1999 and began practicing law in 2000. Ms. Weatherly currently serves on The Dean's Board of Advisers for The George Washington University Law School. Ms. Weatherly graduated Cum Laude with Honors in Government from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, California.
Following internships with the Federal Public Defender in Washington, DC and Fort Worth, Texas, the majority of Ms. Weatherly's career has been focused in litigation. Before serving as an assistant public defender in Palm Beach County, Florida, Ms. Weatherly served as a law clerk in Baltimore City for the Judge-In-Charge-Criminal. As an assistant public defender and solo practitioner, Ms. Weatherly has extensive jury and bench trial experience.
Ms. Weatherly took 2 years off from practicing law prior to moving to North Carolina in order to have and raise a daughter. Ms. Weatherly choose Raleigh as it is a good place to raise children and her desire to move back to the South.
